On July 13, he will rock The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.
Tickets start at $40 and go on sale May 9.
Known around the world for his stint as lead guitarist for Guns N’ Roses, Slash has generated more than 32 years of recognizable music and unmatchable guitar solos. Guns N’ Roses’ debut album, “Appetite for Destruction,” was released in 1987 and has sold more than 35 million copies worldwide.
Guns N’ Roses released both “Use Your Illusion” and “Use Your Illusion II” on Sept. 17, 1991, debuting at No. 2 and No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard charts – a feat, to this day, not achieved by any other group. The albums have combined to sell more than 40 million copies worldwide.
Before leaving Guns N’ Roses in 1996, Slash formed his own band, Slash’s Snakepit, which performed together from 1994 - 2002. In 2002, he found success by joining Velvet Revolver, a band combining former members of GnR and Stone Temple Pilots lead singer Scott Weiland.
Nearing the end of 2008, Slash began his solo career. His debut album, simply titled “Slash,” reached No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard charts in 2010. The album featured the likes of Adam Levine, Maroon 5, The Black Eyed Peas, Ozzy Ozbourne, Dave Grohl and Fergi. Slash has since maintained a successful solo career, releasing his second album, “Apocalyptic Love,” last May.
In 2007, a star bearing Slash’s name was placed alongside Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix on RockWalk of Fame in Hollywood. Three years later, Aug. 26 was declared “Slash Day’ by West Hollywood Mayor John Heilman during the Sunset Strip Music Festival.
Slash was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, along with other members of Guns N' Roses.
